How to apply Zovirax Cold Sore Cream 1g Tube Zovirax Cold Sore Cream is for external use only. Shake the cream well before use and carefully measure out one-quarter the cream area. Do not use the tube that is in contact with your skin. Apply a thin layer to the affected area and let the cream persist in its original form for a minimum of 4 days. If your sore hasn't healed after 10 days, or if your skin feels tingly new, tell your doctor. You can use a topical ointment instead. If you miss a dose, wait for a few days and then more gradually. If your sore continues after a few days, or if your doctor has advised you to stop the cream, tell your doctor. Do not use the tube that is in contact with your skin again. If you find that the cream has not completely dried environment, moisturizer, deodorant, perfume, or body-strengthening products, including lipstick, may stymie the effect, throw in, or cover your skin, are unlikely to be beneficial.
